Jackson-Empower FFA Earns Multiple National Honors
JEFFERSON — The Jackson-Empower Future Farmers of America earned multiple national honors during last week's National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.
Along with earning 3-Star Chapter recognition, Jackson-Empower FFA saw multiple individual recognitions.
Joseph Ledford won the national championship of the National Agriculture Mechanics Repair and Maintenance Entrepreneurship Proficiency, while Jessie Cronic placed second in the National FFA Employment Skills LDE.
Additionally, Nate McKinney and Cale Howington received their American FFA Degree. Less than two percent of FFA members throughout the nation earn the degree.
As the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization, the American FFA Degree shows an FFA member’s dedication to his or her chapter and state FFA association. It demonstrates the effort FFA members apply toward their supervised agricultural experience and the outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement they exhibited through their FFA career.
The Jackson-Empower FFA organization is the second largest FFA chapter in the state of Georgia, with over 420 members.
