The Jackson-Empower FFA program, the largest chapter in the state of Georgia, saw five individuals earn their state FFA degrees over the weekend at the State Convention, along with boasting a state champion.
Auston Engebretson, Reese Sorrow, Xander Roberts, Owen Wilbanks and Elizabeth Ledford earned their state degrees, the highest degree an FFA member can earn.
Additionally, Sorrow won a state championship in Agriscience and will be competing in nationals later this year.
The Jackson-Empower FFA was also named a Gold Emblem State Chapter.
