Welcome to Esports at Empower! We offer a variety of games here with genres like first-person shooters, role-playing, real-time strategy, and virtual sports! Our most popular title is “League of Legends” which is a multiplayer online battle arena. We do building competitions using “Minecraft Education Edition” and a vehicle-based soccer game called, “Rocket League.” We offer many levels of competition from Varsity to JV to practice squads. Therefore, whatever level you are at, there is a place for you! We compete year-round so it isn't seasonal like most other sports! Now, some of you may think, "Oh, we're just playing video games during the week for fun!" However, it's much more than that. We learn cooperation, communication skills, and the value of sportsmanship. We even specialize in specific roles for the sake of the team, not unlike most sports at Jackson County High School or East Jackson Comprehensive High School. There are leadership opportunities, as well. We are always looking for team leaders, Captains, and Gamemasters! Come out and join the Empower Esports program today!
