By financially investing in Empower College & Career Center, you help directly support:

• Industry‑relevant equipment for hands‑on training that utilizes tools, technologies, and machinery that is relevant for the jobs of tomorrow
   
• Enhanced student learning experiences through project-based learning, real‑world labs and hands-on opportunities, earning recognized industry credentials, and internship/work-based learning experiences
   
• Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) participation for competitions, travel, supplies, and award opportunities
   

💡 Support via the Peach Education Tax Credit

Georgia residents and businesses can direct a portion of their state income tax to Empower through the Peach Education Tax Credit, with no extra out‑of‑pocket cost.

• This program offers a dollar‑for‑dollar Georgia state income tax credit for qualifying donations to the Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE)
   
• Peach Tax Credit is capped at $15 million annually and operates on a first‑come, first‑served basis
   
• Different filing statuses qualify for varying limits: up to $2,500 (single/head of household), $5,000 (married filing jointly), up to $25,000 for S‑corp/LLC partners, or up to 75% of GA income tax liability for corporations or trusts
   

Jackson County Schools and Empower College and Career Center has been approved to participate in the program (as of June 2024), specifically raising funds for equipment, training tools, and project‑based learning experiences in Empower C3

✅ How to Participate

1. Go to the GFPE tax credit page, apply online, and select Jackson County School System (or Empower) as your beneficiary.
    
2. Receive approval from GFPE & Georgia Department of Revenue.
    
3. Donate within the 60‑day window.
    
4. Claim your dollar-for-dollar credit when filing your state taxes following the year of contribution.
